The main contributor on this site is Aleister Avila, an HR and I/O practitioner with more than thirteen years of experience in the field. He has worked as an HR Consultant providing comprehensive HR services to companies in various industries. He has focused the latter part of his career working for employers in the healthcare industry recognized for achieving “best place to work” designations and awards in the areas of talent management and leadership development. Currently, Aleister is the People Development Manager at AutoNation, the largest automotive retailer in the United Stated with 26,000 employees and 300 franchises. Aleister is also an Adjunct Professor at Miami Dade College’s School of Business and actively seeks to make an impact in South Florida by participating in the executive planning committee of Leadership Miami and as Chair of the 2016 Youth Leadership Miami.

Aleister served in the U.S. Marine Corps and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Campbell University, a Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Carlos Albizu University, and an MBA from Florida International University. Aleister is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resource Certification Institute. Aleister is the recipient of the 2015 Carlos J. Arboleya Community Service Award from the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.
